Rosconn Wolston Masterplan

Rosconn have been working on behalf of the landowners to deliver new homes on the 5.4 acre site which is currently part of a wider allotment site. The proposals include up to 48 new homes, 30% of which will be affordable.

The scheme will also deliver a high quality reconfigured allotment scheme on the remainder of the allotment site including the provision of a purpose built management building with dedicated meeting space, a new trading facility for use by the allotment association and dedicated communal outdoor space. The proposals follow extensive dialogue over a number of years with both the Parish Council and Allotment Association to secure their support for the scheme. The proposed reconfiguration and enhancements will significantly improve the aesthetics of the allotments site and contribute significantly to the wellbeing of members and the residents of Wolston.

An outline application was refused by Rugby Borough Council’s Planning Committee in November 2020 contrary to the Planning Officers’ recommendation to approve. The appointed Inspector however concluded the proposal accords with the development plan, taken as a whole and allowed the appeal.
